A CRAZED female thug bit an ex-pal’s cheek so hard a chunk of skin was left hanging off in row over a man at a nightclub.
Danielle Gaffar, 19, carried out the frenzied assault on terrified Kyra Strachan, then 18, in Dundee in February.
Dundee Sheriff Court heard the pair, who were both at 18 at the time, were friends who had animosity between them over Gaffar’s ex-boyfriend.
Prosecutor Kirsten Letford said: “At the time of the offence the complainer was in a relationship with a man who was formerly the partner of the accused.”
Mrs Letford said Kyra had been on the dancefloor of Aura nightclub when she was attacked from behind, pulled to the ground, and had her head smashed into the ground several times.
At first she had no idea who her attacker was, but she then saw it was Gaffar, the court heard.
Mrs Letford told the court that a friends tried to intervene, but Gaffar put her arm around Kyra’s throat so she was struggling to breathe.
EIGHT STITCHES
She said: “The accused then bit her on the right cheek.”
Staff spotted the attack and chucked Gaffar out before calling in cops.
Once officers realised the extent of Kyra’s injuries, staff called an ambulance and was rushed to a local hospital.
Kyra needed where eight stitches to sew up the skin hanging off her cheek.

Mrs Letford described the mark as “a significant wound” that doctors said would leave permanent scarring.
The victim also suffered bruising to her face and forehead.

Gaffar, from Dundee pleaded guilty to assaulting Kyra to her severe injury and permanent disfigurement and is now facing a jail sentence.
Sheriff Tom Hughes told the teen it was “a very serious matter” and due to her age he was required to call for a social work criminal justice report and a restriction of liberty order assessment.
Gaffar will be sentenced on October 31.
