PIERS Morgan today called for the wife of a US diplomat to be put “on a plane” to face questions over the car crash teen of a 19-year-old Brit.

Harry Dunn was killed when a car allegedly pulled out onto the wrong side of the road and collided with his motorbike outside RAF Croughton in Northamptonshire in August.

But Anne Sacoolas, 42, claimed diplomatic immunity before she could be quizzed over causing death by dangerous driving.

Good Morning Britain host Piers today called on US President Donald Trump to intervene, saying: “President Trump – get her on a plane and get her to come back and answer the questions.

“Take part in the investigation and face whatever music comes her way in terms of accountability.”

And he pointed out the situation would have sparked outcry in America if the situation was reversed.

He added: “Imagine the other way around – imagine if it was a British diplomat in America and that person’s wife killed a 19-year-old American boy on the road in that manner in an accident.

“Then we as a country authorised and advised her to leave America before facing any kind of police investigation.

“Imagine how Americans would feel, imagine how President Trump would react.

“There would be absolute mayhem. We can’t have a special relationship if you are going to do this to our justice system.”

And fellow host Susanna Reid added: “Trump wouldn’t rest.”

Morgan doubled down on his comments from yesterday, where he said the “scandal” had “shamed” America.

Downing Street this week said the case was “extremely concerning” and urged the US to “reconsider their position” so “the justice process can take place”.

Threatening to raise the issue with the White House if necessary, Prime Minister Boris Johnson said: “I think everybody’s sympathies are with the family of Harry Dunn for their tragic loss.

“But I do not think that it can be right to use the process of diplomatic immunity for this type of purpose.

“I hope Anne Sacoolas will come back and will engage properly with the processes of law that are carried out in this country.

“That is the point we are raising today with the US ambassador and I hope it will be resolved very shortly.

“If we can’t resolve then of course I will raising it myself personally with the White House.”

FAMILY BROKEN

Harry’s grieving mum Charlotte has previously appealed for the driver to return to the UK.

She said: “We are utterly devastated by Harry’s loss. He was such a precious young man who was loved by all who knew him.

“Our lives have been shattered and our only crumb of comfort is the news that Harry was riding perfectly safely that night. He was not at fault in any way.

“However, with the terrible news that the other driver has left the country, seemingly in an attempt to evade justice, we are totally deprived of the ability to grieve and our lives are now painfully on hold.

“I bear the other driver no ill will. She must be suffering too given what she did, but she must return to the UK to face justice. It is only at that point that my family and I will be able to begin to put our lives back together and move forward from this needless tragedy.’”

It comes after it was revealed the 42-year-old American had been previously rapped for “failing to pay attention” while driving in 2006.

But cops in the US state of Virginia — where the road offence took place — could not provide further details as files were destroyed a decade ago.

RAF Croughton is currently on lease to the American government and processes approximately one third of all US military communications in Europe.

Diplomatic immunity allows unhindered travel for government envoys and their families.

Sky News reported that the alleged driver was advised to leave the UK by the American Embassy.
