A BABY boy has died after being stabbed at a house in Newcastle.
The three-week-old tot was rushed to hospital after he was knifed along with a 21-year-old woman last week.
Northumbria Police today revealed the youngster had died.
Police said the community was in shock after the “devastating” attack.
It comes after shocked witnesses revealed how they saw the baby being carried out of the home on a bloodied stretcher yesterday.
Lesley Ann Battensby, 23, who lives opposite, said: “I saw the mum get brought out first on the bed. She was on oxygen surrounded by paramedics.
“Then I saw the baby being carried by the paramedics. He was on oxygen. The road was covered in ambulances. It’s left us proper shaken.”

Mum-of-one Hannah Tiplady, 18, who also lives nearby, added: “I saw the lady on the stretcher. I saw there was blood on the stretcher.
“Then I saw the baby, with the paramedics. It was horrible.
“He had oxygen and they were carrying him.
“It’s scary to be so close…it’s shocking.”
