EXTINCTION Rebellion plan to shut down key sites across London over the next two weeks to force a climate emergency.

Today, thousands of the environmental activists block “every single road” running into central London. We give you the rundown.

What time do the protests start?

The protests will start at 10am today.

The group say the demonstrations will last until the Brit government takes “meaningful and decisive action” on the climate emergency.

Where are Extinction Rebelling protesting?

In London, the activists will “peacefully shutdown Westminster”.

The sites they will claim as of Monday October 7 are:

  • Trafalgar Square
  • Westminster Bridge
  • Victoria Tower Gardens
  • Lambeth Bridge
  • Parliament Square
  • Horse Guards Road
  • Parliament Street
  • Whitehall Place
  • The Mall
  • Victoria Street
  • Millbank
  • Marsham Street
  • Horseferry Road
  • Lord North Street


The group say they will spend two weeks in the area, before they will “move offsite” and continue campaigning with “pressure building actions”.
