A PAL tricked her mate into thinking the inside of a cheese greater is a nightclub and shared the joke on Twitter.
A woman named Jem explained the hilarious prank yesterday as it sparked many to chime in with cheesy puns.
The tweet, which went viral with more than 82,000 likes, shows a WhatsApp conversation between Jem and Franco.
Jem shares a photo of the ‘nightclub’, which is really the inside of a cheese grater.
She asked her friend: “How sick does this club look?”
France replies: “Trippy as f***…where is it?”
Jem convincingly says it’s in Shoreditch, Central London before asking if he wants to go.
Franco eagerly goes “Yes please” before Jem predicts he would “have a grate time”.
Many on Twitter were quick to chime in with their own cheesy puns.
One said: “Hope she doesn’t keep stringing him along like this.”
Another added: “Sounds like we’d have a gouda time.”
One said: “ABSOLUTELY LEGEN-DAIRY.”
This Twitter user also said: “I think we can all a-brie that this club would be amazing.”
Others showed how they pulled the same prank with their friends by inviting them to the non-existent nightclub.
One user even told their unsuspecting the club was called “E-Dam nation”.
Jem later tweeted: “I didn’t expect it to blow up like this.”

This isn’t the first time the inside of a cheese grater has been mistaken for something else.
It has previously been described the “backdrop to every 2000s rap video”.
One user replied showing a clip from the 1996 music video by Notorious B.I.G. Mo Money Mo Problems – where it also looks like it was filmed in a cheese grater.
