Man pleads guilty to attempted robbery of Arsenal stars Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac

A MUGGER has pleaded guilty to attempting to swipe watches from Arsenal stars Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac.

The footballers were chased for a mile in £350,000-a-week Ozil’s black Mercedes G-Class through leafy Childs Hill in North London.

Ashley Smith, 30, today admitted attempted robbery and will be sentenced on November 1.

Footage showed defender Kolasinac – nicknamed ‘The Tank’ – fighting off two men during the alleged robbery on July 25.

Both players were uninjured after the alleged robbery attempt.

But they were forced to miss several matches at the start of the Premier League following concerns over their security.
