SARAH Ferguson was quizzed for the first time about her under-fire ex-husband the Duke of York at a showbiz event.
When asked how she was supporting her ex-husband she hinted she was backing him.
The Duchess of York, 59, told The Sun: “I think the most important thing in life is family hood.”
Her ex-husband has been caught up in the Jeffrey Epstein sex scandal and has been accused of having sex with Virginia Roberts when she was 17.
The Duke of York, 59, denies all allegations against him.
Speaking at the Luminous BFI Gala Auction, Fergie went on to say there wasn’t enough “kindness” in the world and called for people to be nicer to each other.
She said: “I’ve been talking a lot about kindness. I think there’s not enough kindness and I think people should be much more supportive of young people now.
“I think we need young British filmmakers and creative people out there and I think we need to make a dramatic difference.”
The Duchess also spoke about her pride of her 31-year-old daughter Beatrice’s recent engagement to Italian property developer Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, 34.

The Duchess was snapped at the event posing with Dame Joan Collins, 86.
