A YOUNG nurse last seen wearing her hospital scrubs has vanished after finishing her late-night shift early today.
Nurse Laurie Jones, 23, was spotted leaving her night shift at the University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff, in the early hours of this morning.
But the alarm was raised the staff nurse failed to return to her home 17 miles away — and was reported missing by her worried family.
Police say they are now “increasingly concerned for her safety” after Laurie, of Pontllanfraith, Caerphilly, was last seen at 1.40am.
She was still wearing her work clothes as she left Wales biggest hospital for the drive home.
A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: “Laurie was last seen wearing blue nurses scrubs and black shoes and a blue NHS hooded top.
“She was also carrying a pink rucksack and pink water bottle.
“Laurie is described as white, of medium build with long brown hair and she was wearing glasses.”
