POLICE have launched a desperate hunt for a schoolgirl who was last seen leaving her home in Devon more than 24 hours ago.

Megan Pile, 14, was last seen at 8am yesterday morning when she left her home in Barstaple.

Police believe she is still in the Barnstaple area, but does have link to Gloustershire.

She was been described as white, five-feet tall, of a slim build, with brown shoulder-length hair.

Megan was last seen wearing a blue Superdry fleece, but also had a grey hooded top, grey jogging bottoms with ‘FRIENDS’ written on them, and she was wearing black Nike trainers.

Devon and Cornwall Police are appealing for information as the search continues.

Anyone who has seen Megan, or knows of her current whereabouts is asked to call 999 quoting log number 95 for 30 September.
