AN eight-year-old girl had her lip ripped off by a Labrador in an attack that left her needing more than 230 stitches in her face.
Lily-Fay Parfitt, nine, screamed in agony after being mauled by the devil dog as she played on her aunt’s farm in Pulborough, West Sussex on September 20.

The schoolgirl was left with “life-changing” wounds and can’t hear out of her right ear or close her right eye fully after the hound tore through her cheek and lip.
Her mum, Kelly, said Lily-Fay’s lip looks like “a jigsaw piece” after the horror attack by a dog-owner’s pet – which was unknown to the family – left her scarred for life.
Kelly, from Southwater, West Sussex, said: “Lily saw the dog and stopped and turned, she didn’t even step towards the dog.
“The dog actually came straight to her. I heard an ear-piercing scream as it grabbed her top lip and tore out her cheek, leaving catastrophic wounds.”
The mum-of-five added: “The injuries to Lily’s face is something that I never want to see again. Her top jaw, her top teeth, her tongue and bottom jaw had been degloved.”
Lily-Fay had 192 stitches on the outside of her cheek to hold it together, 38 stitches in her lip and an unknown number inside her cheek.
The dog ripped off so much skin that she lost 25 percent from her top lip.
After surgery, Lily-Fay now faces three weeks off school to prevent infection.

Kelly added: “The surgeon took one look at her and said: “It’s life changing, we don’t know if she will get senses back because of the severity of the injury”.
“She has slight hearing loss out of her ear which we don’t know if it is going to come back.
“She can’t close her eye fully at night time, so they’re going to put eye drops in to stop her eye from drying out.”
Lily-Fay has already undergone 103 operations because of a rare birth defect that left her with a horseshoe-shaped kidney and 40 percent of her bowel.
The family have now removed all the mirrors at their home so selfie-lover Lily-Fay can’t see her horrific injuries.
A mirror in the bathroom has been covered in case the little girl spots her reflection.
Kelly said: “I think she’s going to be shocked because she’s very into photos and selfies.

“I feel like I’m in a daze, it’s like I’m in a dream. I think I’ll wake up and it will be a bad nightmare but clearly it’s not going to happen.
“It’s still so raw. Lily has been so brave. She’s also having night terrors. She won’t go anywhere without me at all times.”
Police are investigating the incident, with the dog put down following the attack.
