A THUG who stabbed a rival gang member through their open car window in broad daylight has been jailed for 11 years.
Shocking footage shows 20-year-old Tyriq Richards-Tindle run up to the car’s open window before launching the brutal attack in Luton, Beds.
The horrific video was captured on a dash-cam, and appears to show Richards-Tindle leaning through the open window with a blade around five times.
The stunned driver jumps the car forward several paces, but soon realises there’s no escape from the attacker as they’re gridlocked by traffic.
Richards-Tindle then runs away from the car after shrugging off his victim who grabs fruitlessly at his arm, attempting to ward off the attack.
A man in a blue hooded jacket watches on as the brutal stabbing takes place in broad daylight, at 11.45am on July 8.
Richards-Tindle answered “no comment” to all questions put to him when he was quizzed, despite after being shown the footage of the incident.
He was charged with GBH with intent and pleaded guilty at Luton crown court before being caged on Tuesday.
Det Con Colin Knight, from Bedfordshire Police, said: “It’s quite clear that Richards Tindle was so focussed on inflicting violence on his rival.
“That he spared no thought for others in the area, which included many members of the public.
“The 11 year sentence that has been imposed on him should serve as a warning to others involved in gangs, or who use weapons to cause fear and intimidation.
“While other 20-year-olds in our county enjoy their youth, with many heading back to university this week, Richards-Tindle will spend his time behind bars.

“While in prison I hope he’s able to reflect on his actions.
“This case also highlights the risks associated with gang activity, as the victim also received nasty injuries and required several surgeries following this incident.
“To anyone involved I would like to say: this doesn’t have to be your life, and what you’re putting at risk is far more than what you stand to gain.”
