Sarah Barrass pleaded guilty to murdering her two sons, aged 13 and 14, before trying to kill four other children in her Sheffield home.
Barrass, 34, now faces life in prison after killing teens Tristan and Blake Barrass in May.
And the mother broke down in Sheffield Crown Court as she admitted conspiracy to murder six children, including Tristan and Blake, and five counts of attempted murder.
Brandon Machin, 37, also admitted to murdering the 13 and 14-year-old boys.
The mother appeared alongside Brandon Machin, 37, who also plead guilty to murder at Sheffield Crown Court.
The pair were expected to face trial however entered the last minute pleas.
They will both be sentenced on November 12.
Judge Jeremy Richardson QC told them: “No words of mine can ever fully reflect the enormity of what you have both done.
“The crimes you have committed quite frankly speak for themselves. The murder of two children.
“The attempted murder of four children and the over-arching conspiracy to murder those children.
“I repeat, those crimes speak for themselves. I have little doubt that each of you will in due course be sentenced to several terms of life imprisonment. “This may well be a case, but it’s a matter for the judge, where a whole life order is imposed.”

What happened on Friday, May 24?
Police were scrambled to a semi-detached house in Shiregreen over concerns for the occupants’ welfare at around 7.30am on May 24.
Two boys, aged 14 and 13, died after frantic attempts to resuscitate them.
Just 30 minutes before the two teens died, they told a pal “we’re not coming to school today” because they were “feeling sick”.
LATEST CRIME NEWS
Two girls, aged seven months and three years, and two younger boys — ten and 11 — were taken to hospital but have now been released.
Detectives have given no indication about the nature of the incident, but have confirmed it was not a shooting, and said it was confined to one property.
Floral tributes and balloons have been left outside the house for the two boys following the double tragedy.
