However, because of time already served and his good behaviour behind bars the rap star – born D’Juan Montrel Hart – will be out by early next month.
As part of his plea deal, he will have to undergo a drink and drugs evaluation within 30 days of his release from jail, reports TMZ.
The star has also been ordered to undergo domestic violence counselling and has been banned from having booze or drugs while on probation.
The 40-year-old will also have to take random drug tests and forfeit all weapons following the brutal attack.
Young Dro hit his girlfriend so hard she was left with bruises on her face, say the reports from the US.
The rapper was also initially accused of using a knife to cut up furniture in his own home.
