THE Apprentice is welcoming its first-ever disabled candidate with the inclusion of para-athlete and Undateables star Souleyman Bah.
We’ve gathered together all there is to know about the contestant who’s creating quite a lot of buzz on social media. Here’s what we know about Souleyman…
Who is The Apprentice star Souleyman Bah?
Souleyman, who is a member of the Great Britain Paralympic Team, credits himself as a para-athlete and motivational speaker.
He’s also currently hoping to represent his country in the forthcoming 100 and 200-meter courses at the 2020 Paralympic Games next year.
With so many goals and aspirations, Souleyman won’t let his disability prevent him from getting what he wants in life.
He has an eye condition called Retinitis pigmentosa, which is known to affect the retina at the back of his eye, consequently reducing his eyesight in poor light.
In Souleyman’s case, he can’t see out of his right eye at all, while his left eye has tunnel vision, which drastically limits his vision.
Despite all of that, however, his condition has not stopped him from being the best when it comes to sports and athletics, having won the 100 meters race at the Paralympic School Games in Brazil in 2015.
But aside from his passion for the paralympic games, Souleyman is also big on giving motivational speeches at schools across the country.
And if you thought The Apprentice will be his first appearance on television, think again – Souleyman previously starred in Channel 4’s The Undateables.
His episode, which aired in 2017, didn’t go as planned when his date stood him up at the last minute, leaving him rather embarrassed by the outcome.
