THE troubles for the Sharma family worsen as Derek dies from salmonella poisoning in Emmerdale.
But a question mark will be hanging over Manpreet Sharma’s morals in next week as the GP will be seen stealing from a deceased patient.

When one of Manpreet’s patients falls ill and David Metcalfe is left feeling pretty sick, Rishi Sharma is shocked when David suggests it might be his dodgy chocolates causing the illness.
Rishi – Bhasker Patel – dismisses David’s suggestion but things soon come crashing down. Derek – Manpreet’s patient – dies and it looks likely it’s from salmonella poisoning, leaving Rishi fearful.
Meanwhile, Manpreet – who’s played by Sunetra Sarker in the ITV soap – sorts through Derek’s things and Rishi’s son, Jai, tries to reassure his dad that the death isn’t his fault but a terrible accident.
But soon the environmental health service want to speak to Rishi. Rishi gets a nasty shock when he discovers who blew the whistle on him.

Jai points the finger of suspicion at the Dingle family and their eggs.
But Rishi is soon preparing for the worst while Manpreet looks up how much Derek’s stamp album – which she has taken – is worth.
Could this solve all their problems? Or is it set to create a whole load more?
Derek is played by comedy legend Tommy Cannon, 81, who announced he would be making a cameo appearance in the soap back in August.
He tweeted: “Excited to be able to announce that I’m doing a brief stint as ‘Derek’ in @emmerdale!! Spending some time in the dales #Emmerdale.”
