Last night Dylan, a master technician, of Glenrothes, Fife, said: “We were on an all-inclusive deal at the hotel.”On Monday morning when I heard about what had happened to Thomas Cook I went down to the hotel reception to find out what was happening.“I was told by the head of reception we had to get out of our rooms by 10.30am or pay an extra 1000 Euros per couple for the last two days of our holiday.
“We then had to pay 350 Euros for rent and 350 Euros as a damage deposit which left us with no money for food or water due to us now being self catering.
“I am so disappointed we ended up having to book a self-catering apartment to live in until we fly home on Wednesday.”
Fed-up Dylan, his family and friends now face a worrying wait to see if their flights back to Scotland today will go ahead as planned.
He added: “I’ve been told the flights should be okay, they are with EasyJet but we booked the whole package through Thomas Cook.
“We are due to fly out on Wednesday to get back to Edinburgh airport.”
