STRICTLY Come Dancing star Kelvin Fletcher was left red-faced after his wife pointed out his epic shaving fail on Instagram yesterday.

Despite his success on the dancefloor, the actor’s wife Liz Marsland brought the actor back down to earth when she revealed he’d only shaved one leg ahead of his big performance.

Kelvin Fletcher’s wife revealed he’d only managed to shave one leg in time for his Strictly Come Dancing performance on Saturday night

Documenting the blunder on social media, Liz joked: “Let me see your legs, Kelvin. So you’ve shaved one and not the other?”

The ex Emmerdale star then awkwardly told the camera: “My razor ran out.”

The post came moments before Kelvin poked fun at his failure to clap properly in a clip from Saturday night’s show.

The actor was caught on camera attempting to cheer their score but instead misses both of his hands completely.

Pro partner Oti Mabuse then joined in with the mockery, writing on Instagram: “When you can samba but not clap.”

Following his impressive launch night performance, Kelvin is already being tipped to win the glitterball trophy after showing off his talents.

He’s had just two weeks to prepare after being brought in to fill Jamie’s space who pulled out over a foot injury.

Kelvin –who played Andy Sugden in Emmerdale from 1996 to 2016 – said it was “surreal” when he was asked to step in.

He set viewers’ pulses racing with his debut, with judge Bruno Tonioli calling it the best opening Samba he’d seen in 15 years of being a telly judge.

Kelvin also and Oti topped the leaderboard by scoring a whopping 32 points in week one.
