Amy, 28, uploaded a sweet, smiling shot showing herself and her relative at what looked to be a family party.

Alongside, she posted: “Absolutely gutted, but very grateful that I had 27 years with my amazing Grandad.”

Amy, who left the matchmaking show after her romance with Curtis Pritchard faltered, added a black love heart to the caption.

Her fans were quick to show their condolences, with one writing: “Sending you love babe so sorry for your loss.”

DJ Toby Anstis, with whom Amy has been romantically linked, added: “Gorgeous pic.”

Another put: “Sending love to you and your family.”

One then continued: “So sorry for your loss, can’t even imagine.”

A fan then simply surmised: “So sorry for your loss.”

Amy’s rumoured love interest Toby Anstis has given his support in the tough time

Amy is currently holidaying in Ibiza while the tragic ordeal plays out at home.

Earlier this summer, it was reported how the unlucky in love TV star was forced to leave Brighton Pride celebrations when she was told her grandad was dying.

In a happier twist, after visiting the hospital, she told fans on her Instagram Stories: “Right everyone, so I had to leave Pride because sadly we thought my granddad wouldn’t make it but he’s serving comebacks like Take That and he’s sitting up and eating ice cream.

“So now I’m on my way back and I’ll hopefully see some of you there.”
