Hollyoaks character Ste Hay is left fearing for the lives of his kids as a dramatic radicalisation plot takes hold

Recent episodes have seen the character radicalised by a new family in the village.

The arrival of Muslim newcomers Jonny and Stuart saw the start of a horrifying grooming process which saw Ste immersed into the far right group.

This saw him forced to adopt extreme racist views and his co-star, Ruby O’Donnell, has signalled this marks only the start of his fear.

Ruby, who plays the youngest of the Lomax sisters Peri, exclusively told the Sun Online: “As soon as you involve yourself with people like Jonny and Stuart, your life is definitely at risk.

“Ste is scared for his life, his kids, his family, anyone related to him.

“Just because he’s in a mess so deep, and yes, the effects of whats happened and this storyline are very big and this is why getting out of the situation is so hard for Ste.”

She again dropped a huge hint the entirety of the Hay family could be at risk, and added: “Oh there’s always a possibly because the far right people are super dangerous.

“If Ste decides to leave, so you never know, there’s always a risk. But I cant tell you anymore.”

Sun Online recently reported how Ste was temporarily snapped out of the brain washing by the extreme thugs after they blew up a house, and almost killed neighbour Yaz Maalik.

But when he tried to escape the gang’s clutches, telling them he wanted to go home, Stuart told him he would frame him for the explosion as he did with Dave.

He leered at Ste: “I gave them Dave’s name because I know he can keep his mouth shut.

“If you want I can go back and give them yours too. Do you want your kids to grow up without a dad? Your choice Ste.”

A broken Ste headed inside the Teahouse to lay low but began recording a video for his kids so they wouldn’t think he didn’t try to escape.
