GWYNETH Paltrow was cruelly mocked by Emmys viewers after she awkwardly shuffled on stage to present an award.
The Oscar-winning actress was at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday night to present the gong for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series.
Gwyneth, 46, wore an unusual dress which featured a black mesh neckline and statement sleeves which trailed on the floor, as well as a black band around her bust before dropping into a white satin column-style skirt.
She teamed her dress with sky high heels, but as she teetered on stage, viewers were quick to mock her small steps to the microphone.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “#emmys Why the hell is Gwyneth walking like that?”
Another added: “Gwyneth Paltrow’s cautious little shuffle across the stage to present is the least Gwyneth Paltrow thing I’ve ever seen Gwyneth Paltrow do. #Emmys #goooooooooop.”
A third agreed, writing: “I want to be Gwyneth Paltrow trying to walk across the #Emmys stage for Halloween.”
Meanwhile a fourth joked: “That’s so cute. They caught Gwyneth Paltrow taking her first steps. #Emmys.”
While some thought it was the dress restricting her movement, others felt Gwyneth wasn’t comfortable in her high heels.
One viewer wrote: “I’m very distracted by the fact that Gwyneth Paltrow is wearing shoes she clearly can’t walk in. #Emmys.”
A second tweeted: “I told my daughter, “WHY the hell is Gwyneth wearing them heels she can’t walk in????” #Emmys.”
A third joked: “#Emmys I’m going to need a meme of Gwyneth Paltrow tippy-toe crossing the stage immediately.”
Gwyneth presented the award to Jodie Comer, for her role as Villanelle in Killing Eve.

Jodie, 26, was stunned to beat co-star Sandra Oh to the gong, and admitted she was gutted she hadn’t invited her parents to the ceremony.
During her acceptance speech, she thanked her loved ones, saying: “Thank you to my mum and dad who are in Liverpool and who I didn’t invite as I didn’t think this was going to be my time.
“One, I’m sorry and two, I love you. ”
