DOMINIC RAAB hinted the Government could suspend Parliament again – to help with BREXIT.

The Foreign Secretary appeared to make a bumper gaffe when refusing to rule out a second ‘prorogation’ if the Supreme Court rules against No.10 this week.

He told the BBC’s Andrew Marr Show: “Let’s wait and see. I’m very keen not to get ahead of ourselves on this.

“And I’m also keen not to take levers off the table that weaken the position of the UK in Brussels.”

Judges are set to rule as early as Monday on whether Mr Johnson misled the Queen when suspending Parliament.

Boris Johnson insisted the Government had to ‘prorogue’ to clear the way for a Queen’s Speech and a new domestic agenda.

But lawyers for ‘Remain’ campaigners have repeatedly claimed the PM was desperate to silence his Brexit critics in the run up to the October 31 deadline.

Mr Raab was the first to mention the possibility of prorogation as a Brexit tactic this summer during the Tory leadership campaign.

Supreme Court President Lady Hale promised to deliver a judgement on the unprecedented prorogation row “early” this week.

Lord Pannick QC demanded MPs are recalled “as soon as possible” if they rule against Mr Johnson.
