She was treated for a severe panic attack that the doctor said could potentially cut the blood supply to her womb as her body went into shock.

We can reveal the incident was caused by stress related to menacing threats repeatedly made against her family.

A source said: “It was a terrifying night and Becky was beside herself worrying that the baby had been harmed.

“Panic attacks can cut off the blood supply to an unborn child so the doctor had to monitor her for about an hour to make sure everything was OK.

“Her heart was racing and her chest felt tight. She said it felt like she was dying.”

Heavily pregnant Becky, 37, who was pictured on a romantic break in Dubai this month before her health deteriorated, is now recovering at the couple’s £2.5million home in Leicestershire. It was just the latest in a series of  scares that have left the family fearing for their safety.

We can also reveal the Vardys had to call in the police two years ago to investigate a possible stalker spotted outside their home while Becky was away for her stint in I’m A Celebrity.

Jamie, 32, who played in his team’s 2-1 win over Tottenham yesterday, hired a security team to guard the home and their kids.

And sources say they have been subjected to a torrent of threats since the Premier League restarted last month.

A pal confided: “There have been some really menacing messages  on social media. And it’s not just empty threats by rival fans warning Jamie off scoring against them.

“Some are deeply disturbing. Jamie and Becky might have more money than most but no one could see this stuff and sleep well at night.”
