SEX fiends who refuse to tell police the names of their victims could serve extra time in jail under government proposals.

It comes amid the furore over the release of nursery paedophile Vanessa George, who refused to name victims.

Offenders who have committed violent or sexual crimes must end the horrific ordeal for distraught families or face a longer prison term, a major review will propose.

Downing Street wants to ensure serious criminals “get the sentence they deserve”.

Outraged Defence Minister Johnny Mercer hit out this week after George was freed after ten years.

The country’s worst female sex offender, 49, was jailed following assaults on up to 30 toddlers  in Plymouth.

The Parole Board say she is no longer a significant threat, but she has been banned from returning to Devon and Cornwall.

Mr Mercer, MP for Plymouth Moor View, wants her type of case to be reviewed.

He said: “People in Plymouth feel rightly outraged by some of the circumstances surrounding this individual’s release.”
