Ant, 43, missed last year’s series as he battled alcohol and prescription drug addiction.

It was the first time he missed presenting the show with telly sidekick Declan Donnelly since it was first aired in 2002.

Sources said he was determined to return for the 19th series but insisted on 43-year-old Anne-Marie joining him.

She is also his ‘sober coach’. A source said: “Ant’s thrilled that she will be with him. She is vital to his recovery and a month away from her would have had a detrimental impact on his mental health.”

Last week Ant was involved in a bust-up outside his former marital home in West London.

He arrived to hand over dog Hurley. Ex-wife Lisa Armstrong was away in Ibiza. But Ant got into a “heated” exchange with her personal assistant after trying to come into the £6million home. Lisa’s mum Linda invited Ant in to diffuse tensions.

Sources said he and Lisa were already at loggerheads after she wanted him to keep their shared dog for a day longer than planned, and he refused.

Ant’s spokesman declined to comment on Saturday night.
