NETFLIX’S Marvel series follows five superheroes that appear in the Marvel Comics publications.
But is there an order you should watch them in? And if so what? We’ve got a timeline for you here…
1. Daredevil season one (April 2015)
The first Netflix Marvel series to watch is Daredevil.
The series follows Matt Murdock [played by Charlie Cox] who’s a lawyer by day and vigilante by night.
Matt, who was blinded in a toxic accident that gave him superhuman senses, fights crime on the streets of Hell’s Kitchen in New York.
The series sees him take on the Russian Mafia, Japanese Yakuza and Chinese Triads and he wears the Daredevil suit for the first time.
2. Jessica Jones season one (November 2015)
The next series to watch is Jessica Jones, which focuses on the former superhero who suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Jessica starts to rebuild her life when she opens her own detective agency to help people.
She quickly falls in love with Luke Cage [played by Mike Colter], who’s an ex convict with superhuman strength.
3. Daredevil season two (March 2016)
In series two of Daredevil, Matt has got used to his Daredevil role.
We also see two new characters in this series – Frank Castle, aka The Punisher [played by Jon Bernthal] and Matt’s ex-girlfriend Elektra [played by Élodie Yung].
4. Luke Cage season one (September 2016)
Next up is the first season of Luke Cage.
The series picks up a few months after the end of Jessica Jones season one.
Luke is a bullet-proof superhero who wants to live a quiet life, but is forced to fight crime in order to save the people he loves.
5. Iron Fist season one (March 2017)
This series focuses on Danny Rand [played by Finn Jones], who was thought to have died age 10 in a plane crash that killed his parents.
He’s returned to New York after 15 years after being raised by monks who taught him Martial arts.
Now, he has been chosen to defeat the evil organisation known as The Hand.
6. The Defenders (July 2017)
The Defenders brings all four of the Netflix Marvel superheroes for an Avengers-style crossover series.
They’ve come together to fight the organisation featured in Iron Fist season one, The Hand.
7. The Punisher (November 2017)
The next series focuses on Frank Castle, who appeared in Daredevil season two.
The former FBI agent had seen a lot of corruption, which led to his wife and children being shot dead.
Frank then becomes The Punisher and sets out for revenge.
8. Jessica Jones season two (March 2018)
The second season of Jessica Jones is the latest in the Marvel series, which sees her take on a new case.
She didn’t feature in the Luke Cage series, but he returns for this series.
Netflix has also renewed Daredevil and Luke Cage for new seasons.
