THIS is the “beautiful” teenager found dead in a park as a 19-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of her murder.

The body of Keeley Bunker, 20, was discovered in a stream in Tamworth, Staffs, shortly after 9pm yesterday.

Police were called to the park in Roman Way, Tamworth, at 9pm on Thursday[/caption]

Keeley had been missing since the early hours of Thursday. She was last seen close to the park where her body was found.

Her cousin Sian Phillips wrote on Facebook: “Miss you always love you forever my baby cousin.”

Her aunt Jodie Majer posted some pictures of herself with Keeley on Facebook this morning and wrote: “My beautiful Niece who is more like my little sister!! I love you so much.”

Dozens of friends commented on the post offering their condolences.

Kirsty Louise wrote: “Rest in peace beautiful girl 💔 heartbreaking! Thinking of everyone 😔 xxxxx”

Amy-Lee Powell added: “So sorry for your loss jodie, thinking of u all at this very sad time. Sending lots of love. RIP beautiful. xxx”


Aimee Rose Baxter posted on the Facebook page of Keeley’s brother Kieran, saying: “So sorry for your lost. Keeley was a beautiful young girl. Love you all.”

Paddy Behan added: “I’m so so sorry for you tragic loss heartbreaking xx”

Pals had launched an appeal for information after Keeley disappeared on Leyfields housing estate which surrounds the park at 4am on Thursday.

Friend Alex Hollyoake tweeted: “My friend Keeley Bunker has been missing since 4am. She was last seen in Leyfields, Tamworth.

“She was wearing a light pink Moncler coat, skinny black joggers with white stripe down side & white puma trainers.”

It’s believed Keeley had been on her way home from a gig with a friend when she vanished.

Family members searched the park and found her bag on Thursday afternoon. Sources said her lifeless body was later found by her uncle.

Police officers and paramedics were called to the scene but Keeley could not be revived.

Friends on Keeley’s Facebook page had commented on her selfies, describing her as “beautiful”.

Two weeks ago, her mum Debbie Watkins wrote: “Pretty as a picture.”

Keeley replied: “Thank you mother, as are you” to which Ms Watkins joked: “Must be where you get your stunning good looks from then!”

West Midlands Ambulance Service said they received reports of someone in the water near Edgar Close, Tamworth, and sent two ambulances and a paramedic officer to the scene, but nothing could be done to save her.

Staffordshire Police said in a statement: “A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with her death and is in custody.

“We would kindly ask people not to speculate at this time as our inquiries continue.”

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “We were called by Staffordshire Police to reports of a patient in the water near to Edgar Close, Tamworth at 9.10pm last night.

“Two ambulances and a paramedic officer were sent to the scene. On arrival we discovered one patient, a woman.

“Sadly, it quickly became apparent nothing could be done to save the woman and she was confirmed dead at the scene.”
