AMERICAN Horror Story: 1984 kicked off last night, but it wasn’t murder and mayhem that sent shivers down fans’ spines.

The anthology series, known for its dark and twisted story lines, is paying homage to the slasher flicks of the 1980s with a summer camp theme for its latest iteration.

Matthew’s shorts left little to the imagination

The cult Ryan Murphy creation is always met with hype aplenty on social media – but when episode one aired it Glee icon Matthew Morrison who set tongues wagging.

In a far cry from his squeaky-clean musical days, he rocked a pair of eye-wateringly tiny short that left very little to the imagination.

To accentuate his, ahem, physique, even further, Matthew swung a kettle bell between his legs to work up a sweat.

Fans clocked the significant bulge immediately and immediately felt a tiny piece of their innocence perish.

“Watching Matthew Morrison half naked and in tight shorts after growing up with glee is traumatising,” one wrote.

“Matthew Morrison and his bulge makes me wanna throw up,” a second agreed.

“Can we just take a moment to talk about Matthew Morrison’s colossal bulge?” a third asked.

A fourth admitted: “I haven’t seen Matthew Morrison in anything since Glee. I’m a lil disturbed at seeing Mr. Schuester like this.”

While a fifth chimed in: “Oh God I cant… Matthew Morrison with that hair and moustache… and short shorts.”

Morrison’s character, Trevor Kirchner, serves as activities director at the camp, but given that he ended up skinny-dipping in the lake, he’s clearly ‘work hard, play harder’ in his approach.

American Horror Story airs Thursdays on FOX at 10pm.
