EX Strictly star James Jordan revealed that he has put on THREE stone since wife Ola fell pregnant – blaming her for “wanting to eat doughnuts” after spending 14 days throwing up.

The pair announced their exciting baby news earlier this month after turning to IVF following a three-year fertility battle.

James joked about his weight gain as he sat down

Appearing on Loose Women together earlier today, 36-year-old Ola joked that she couldn’t get into the chair behind the desk due to her growing baby bump.

James, 41, hit back: “I’m fat as well,” putting his hand on his belly, he joked: “It’s a sympathy belly.”

He then playfully sucked in his stomach as he explained: “I’ve put on quite a few pounds since Dancing on Ice.

“I went to 78 kilos, which is maybe 12 stone and now I’m 15.”

James added: “She keeps on wanting doughnuts and I eat all the doughnuts.”

Rolling her eyes, Ola exclaimed: “The doughnuts are for me, not for you!”

Later in the chat, James revealed that Ola had spent the first 14 weeks of her pregnancy throwing up – with her symptoms giving him a newfound respect for women.

He said: “Watching you for the first fourteen weeks, she was throwing up every single day… She hasn’t complained.

“I’ve heard it from my friends before, saying that when you watch your loved one going through pregnancy you get this massive respect.

“Seeing what she has been through, you realise how strong women are.”

Ola is now 16 weeks along after she fell pregnant on the first round of IVF in June – despite doctors only giving them a 50% chance of being successful on their initial attempt.

The couple, who have been together for 20 years, admitted that they are “lucky” in terms of their experience with the treatment, with James telling viewers: “Some people go through ten times, but we went through it once.

“Just keep trying. We’re over the moon and don’t give up.”

Discussing the pregnancy, he previously told Hello! magazine: “We’ve been with each other for 20 years, married for 16, travelled the world, achieved amazing things in our careers: trophies, accolades, Ola won Strictly Come Dancing, I won Dancing On Ice.

“But finding out that we are pregnant is no doubt our biggest achievement ever. This is probably the most special and exciting thing that has ever happened to us.”
