EASTENDERS fans think Phil Mitchell will find out Sharon’s baby is not his in explosive Christmas storyline.

Sharon has been having an affair with Keanu behind the hardman’s back, and viewers believe all will be unearthed by Mel in time for an intense festive special for the BBC One soap.

EastEnders fans think Phil will find out who the father of Sharon’s baby is in explosive Christmas special

Taking to Digital Spy’s forum one fan wrote: “Really hoping they don’t bump off Mel in a twist for her exit.

“Rather she leaves alive, promises to keep quiet about it in return for something substantial, but has left some kind of evidence about it which gets unearthed on Christmas in the Mitchell household.”

“Lisa using it to exact revenge for how vile Phil has treated her will be sweet. Can’t say I’d miss Louise and Keanu’s relationship, as I’ve never liked them as a couple. No chemistry.”

Another speculated: “So I suspect Mel will fill best friend Lisa in on Sharon and Keanu’s affair before leaving Walford in November and Lisa will decide to tell Louise after she gives birth (at Christmas) and that’s how it all unfolds?”

Mel is set to blackmail Sharon in upcoming episodes fans believe

While some believe the DNA results will be plotted in a Christmas cracker, others predict Mel will blackmail Sharon to come clean.

A separate fan wrote: “Results in a Christmas cracker would be nice!”

Another added: “She’s not too happy with the Mitchell’s for cutting her access to the E20 accounts off and thus week Phil refuses to allow any of the Mitchell’s to attend Hunter’s funeral.

“Her blackmailing Sharon is essentially a way of getting back at Phil. But Melanie hasn’t been a nice character at all this stint and has been a bit of a bully at times, so this doesn’t surprise me one bit.”

Sharon and Keanu have been having an affair behind Phil’s back

One more added: “The Mitchell’s (specifically Phil but Sharon seems to do as she is told these days), noticed that Mel was stealing money from the club account (to pay for horrible Hunters funeral..), so they cut off her access to the account, she begged Sharon to help her as she was skint, but Sharon wouldn’t budge

“So I think Mel is doing the blackmailing purely for the money as she knows (or will do shortly) about Sheanu.”

“It seems a bit of a reach to make Mel blackmail Sharon – if she wants to hurt Phil, just tell him about Keanu!”, wrote another.

Scheming Mel – who’s played by Tamzin Outhwaite in the BBC soap – enlists the help of Lisa Fowler in getting Keanu’s phone and setting a trap for Sharon.

When Sharon – Letitia Dean – realises Mel knows the truth, she warns her off but is horrified when she discovers Mel has the results of the paternity test.

Desperate Sharon pleads with Mel to keep her secret, but Mel tells Sharon she has one day to convince Louise Mitchell – who’s also pregnant with Keanu’s baby – to move back in with Lisa – Lucy Benjamin.

A panicked Sharon arranges a lunch with Louise and Keanu to talk, but is frustrated when Phil invites himself along too.
Earlier this week EE bosses promised that the ‘Sheanu’ scandal will come spilling out over Christmas.

Speaking to the Metro, Kate Oates teased: “There’s so much going on in Walford from autumn, well into the New Year. But, of course, in true EastEnders tradition, Christmas is huge.

“Much of it will circulate around a very complicated and messy love affair — so expect some major Sheanu drama as it all explodes….but we’ve got some twists and surprises in that story which last right through to New Year.”
