IT might be a bit battered around the edges but this Yorkshire pudding definitely looks like a dog.

The canine creation was accidentally Crufted at a bistro that used to be a betting shop.

Diners lapped it up and posted pictures, with Angela McManus writing: “Maybe it’s a Yorkie.”

Another customer said: “The place was in stitches.

“Someone said it looked like the cartoon character Deputy Dawg, as it had the same long nose and droopy ears.”

The savoury side was served with roast beef and other trimmings at Pinion in Prescott, Merseyside.

Former shoplifter turned chef Gary Usher opened the high-end restaurant in a former Bet Fred after crowdfunding for the cash.

It now features in the Good Food Guide 2020.

Gary’s story will be told this Thursday in Channel 4’s The Rebel Chef: My Restaurant Revolution, at 10pm.
