PREGNANT Sharon Mitchell will find herself being blackmailed by Mel Owen in EastEnders next week after grieving Mel discovers the truth about Sharon’s baby.
As the week kicks off Mel, who’s still desperate to get revenge on the Mitchells for the death of her son Hunter, wonders what to do with her shocking discovery that Sharon had an affair with Keanu Taylor – the father of her baby.
Scheming Mel – who’s played by Tamzin Outhwaite in the BBC soap – enlists the help of Lisa Fowler in getting Keanu’s phone and setting a trap for Sharon.
When Sharon – Letitia Dean – realises Mel knows the truth, she warns her off but is horrified when she discovers Mel has the results of the paternity test.
Desperate Sharon pleads with Mel to keep her secret, but Mel tells Sharon she has one day to convince Louise Mitchell – who’s also pregnant with Keanu’s baby – to move back in with Lisa – Lucy Benjamin.
A panicked Sharon arranges a lunch with Louise and Keanu to talk, but is frustrated when Phil invites himself along too. But Keanu picks up on Sharon’s odd behaviour and later confronts her over it.
Sharon lies and tells him she can’t bear living with him anymore, which leaves Keanu stunned.
Later, a relieved Sharon helps Louise and Keanu move in with Mel, but her worries are far from over when Mel tells her it’s not over and she’ll be in touch.
As the week continues, Mel carries on blackmailing Sharon, leaving Lisa to question what’s really going on. But when she confronts her about it, Mel refuses to tell her the truth.
As a plan begins to form, Mel makes another demand from Sharon. But soon Sharon has the upper hand and Mel resorts to drastic measures and gives Sharon a threat she can’t ignore.

How will Sharon get out of this?
Earlier this week EE bosses promised that the ‘Sheanu’ scandal will come spilling out over Christmas.
Speaking to the Metro, Kate Oates previewed what soap fans have to look forward to.
She said: “There’s so much going on in Walford from autumn, well into the New Year. But, of course, in true EastEnders tradition, Christmas is huge.
“Much of it will circulate around a very complicated and messy love affair — so expect some major Sheanu drama as it all explodes….but we’ve got some twists and surprises in that story which last right through to New Year.”
