Another disagreed and backed the show, writing: “Lucy beale ghost may be ugly and old but it’s STILL lucy beale and I won’t accept any of this slander.”

Lucy made an eerie return to Walford as she appeared just at the site where her brother, Bobby Beale, murdered he on Walford Common.

Back in 2014 his mum, Jane Beale, helped him hide the body and convinced her son with chippie owner, Ian Beale, he had nothing to do with her killing.

Last night, viewers watched as Bobby struggled to cope through the episode but his full trauma wasn’t revealed until the last minute.

“It’s all blocked. I know I’m pushing everyone away and I’m trying to deal with it the best I can.

“I never wanted to come back here. I tried to stay away. This isn’t my home, it can’t be. Is this what I deserve?

“Every time I open my eyes, every time I come in here I see you. I see you all the time. Are you always going to be here?”

The camera then panned back and revealed Lucy standing in the spot where she was killed by her younger brother five years ago.
