Speaking to co-presenter Vassos Alexander, Chris speculated why actor Hugh Bonneville didn’t appear on the movies’ promotional shots.

He said: “Have you seen the Downton Abbey adverts on the side of the bus? Yes the Downton adverts.”

Vassos replies: “The cinematic event of the year?”

Chris says: “Yeah and have you seen the cast, the ensemble cast there. They’re all on the side of the bus expect for Hugh Bonneville.”

The radio host then goes on to guess why Hugh, who plays Robert Crawley in the flick, may be missing while letting an almighty spoiler slip.

He added: “Well he is in it. And by the way he doesn’t get killed. That’s a spoiler for you. He’s definitely in it from the beginning to the end. He’s in most of the movie.

“There has to be a reason why he’s not on it. I wonder what, maybe you know he gets the veto.

“Maybe it’s not part of his deal.”

Last week, Chris admitted to fasting for 12 hours in order to lose weight.

Talking on his radio show, the dad-of-four revealed he’s a fan of intermittent fasting and sometimes bans eating for as long as 16 hours.

He confessed: “I do this 12 hour fast, which I have never talked about on the radio.

“But I don’t eat for 12 hours a day as it improves everything. 16 hours is even better, but 12 hours is easy especially if you do a breakfast show.

“If you get up at silly o’clock, not eating for a 12 hour period is very easy. It is about now (7:40am) I could have it now. I mean I can’t really.”

The Chris Evans Virgin Radio Breakfast show with Sky is on weekdays from 6:30am.
