CELIA Walden is the second wife of Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan.
Here’s everything you need to know about the former gossip columnist…
Who is Celia Walden?
Celia Walden, 43, is a journalist, novelist and critic born in Paris but raised in London.
Her father is former Conservative MP George Walden.
She wrote for the Daily Mail before becoming the last editor of The Daily Telegraph’s diary section Spy.
At the time, readers complained that her byline picture showed too much flesh.
She dated French chef Jean-Christophe Novelli after interviewing him about cars for the Telegraph in 2006.
In 2015 she shocked the world by admitting she had been a member of the extramarital hook-up site Ashley Madison, though she claimed she signed up for article research.
Her 2011 memoir about her “rapport” with the late George Best – called Babysitting George – drew criticism from Best’s former mistress, who claimed Celia had only ever spent “a few days” with the football star.
Her first novel Harm’s Way was published in 2008 and she has also contributed feature pieces to to Glamour magazine, GQ and the Spectator.
When did Celia and Piers Morgan get married and do they have children?
Celia started going out with 54-year-old former newspaper editor Piers Morgan in 2006, while he was still married to first wife Marion Shalloe.
They wed in 2010 in Swinbrook, Oxfordshire, around the time Piers was a judge on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.
She and Piers have a five-year-old daughter called Elise, who is Piers’ fourth child and only girl.
In a column, Celia previously revealed that she asked Piers which of her friends he would sleep with if she gave him a “hall pass”.
He’s said that she has “no sympathy” over the fact Piers gets up at 3.30am in the morning to go and present Good Morning Britain.
In March 2018 Piers shared snaps on Instagram of him and Celia on holiday in Los Angeles as he took an extended break from the morning programme.
She also spoke out about how she believes she is in charge in their marriage.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain in May 2018 she responded to the question of whether she wore the trousers, saying:
“Uhh yes, I think so!
“I think women are always quietly in charge, I just think it’s best to let the men think that they are.”

What does Celia Walden think of Piers Morgan’s work wife Susanna Reid?
Viewers of Good Morning Britain are very aware of the chemistry between hosts Susanna Reid and Piers Morgan.
Not only does the gobby presenter refer to his co-star as his “work wife”, he was also once caught taking a sneaky peek at her cleavage.
The pair have been questioned so much about their friendship that Susanna even ruled out marrying her colleague.
Despite speculation, Celia seems to be fine with the hosts’ flirty relationship.
Even though she hasn’t spoken on the matter, she recently posed for a photo with Piers and Susanna.
