SAM Smith showed off a bare hairy chest on instagram today just days after coming out as gender non-binary.
The How Do I Sleep singer, 27, uploaded a selfie in an open shirt while in the recording studio in LA.
Sam can be seen wearing headphones in the picture, captioned: “These are a few of my favourite things.”
The star, who last week posted a full shirtless snap on instagram as part of a new ‘body positive’ approach to life, is clearly excited to be back recording new material.
Sam is currently working with songwriter and One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder, who has written hits for Adele and Leona Lewis.
Ryan recently revealed he has worked on a “bonkers” up-tempo track with Sam which isn’t like anything the star has released before.
The shirtless selfies come as the gender-fluid singer splashed out on a £12 million mansion.
The new pad is a five bed Grade II listed building in an ultra-exclusive North London neighbourhood.
A source told The Sun: “Sam is one of the biggest popstars in the country, and has been handsomely rewarded as a result.
“But they have also been very wise with their money, had sound financial advice and invested sensibly in bricks and mortar.
“The new property is absolutely stunning and boasts a very colourful history.”
It is less than a mile from the 18th century townhouse Sam bought in 2015, next to ’80s pop star Boy George.
The move also follows Sam announcing last week that they no longer want to be referred to using the male ‘he’ pronoun, instead preferring ‘they’ or ‘them’.
Sam posted on instagram at the weekend: “Today is a good day so here goes. I’ve decided I am changing my pronouns to THEY/THEM after a lifetime of being at war with my gender I’ve decided to embrace myself for who I am, inside and out.

Sam continued: I’m so excited and privileged to be surrounded by people that support me in this decision but I’ve been very nervous about announcing this because I care too much about what people think but f**k it!
“I understand there will be many mistakes and mis gendering but all I ask is you please please try. I hope you can see me like I see myself now. Thank you.”
