THIS is the hilarious moment a ‘drunk’ woman is carted off of the Benidorm bar strip – on the back of a mobility scooter.

The woman is seen in a video, which went viral after being uploaded on social media this week, laying over the back of the scooter, behind a man believed to be her husband.

Day-drinkers in the Spanish resort can be heard howling with laughter as the woman, who appears to be intoxicated, is driven past crowds.

At one point, she appears to dance to the music as the couple stop outside a bar.

The clip was uploaded to Twitter with the caption ‘Welcome to Benidorm’, and has since been shared more than 8,000 times.

One commenter, Shaun Matthew Evans, said: “Who says romance is dead?”

Another added: “Not a bad idea when being carted off back to the hotel!”

Although not everyone was impressed, with one commenter saying: “I’m very embarrassed about the British people’s behaviour abroad. Spanish people protest about this kind of stuff, man.”
