JON Snow’s heroism truly knows no bounds.
The Game of Thrones legend’s prowess on the battlefield is without question, so many fans of the series were shocked when it was Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) who got the honour of killing the nefarious Night King.
However, it turns out that Arya wouldn’t have been able to pull off the assassination without Jon clearing the way.
Upon watching the iconic moment back, many fans on Reddit have identified exactly what Jon screamed at the undead dragon Viserion, who was guarding the courtyard as the Night King approached.
User Applesoapp explained: “Jon screamed at the undead dragon to distract it so Arya can run past and kill the Night King. The undead dragon was protecting the entrance to the Godswood.
“Watch it again, you can actually hear him scream ‘GOOOOO, GO, GO.’ 10 seconds later the scene you can see the hair of a White Walker flying up when Arya sprints past the group of White Walkers.”
They concluded: “Jon once again was ready to sacrifice himself to kill the Night King.”
The post immediately received hundreds of upvotes, with many others speculating that Jon must’ve been in on Arya’s plan.
Jon even sacrificed his heart at the end of the final season by stabbing his beloved Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) after her unforgivable torching of King’s Landing.
Elsewhere in Westeros news, new details have emerged about the prequel series currently in development.
