GARY Windass proves he’s not to be messed with in Coronation Street next week when Ryan Connor fails to pay him the money he owes him.
Ryan – played by Ryan Prescott in the ITV soap – is chuffed when he gets a job DJ-ing in a hotel. But Gary is less than pleased to see Ryan cashing in while he still owes him hundreds of pounds.
A furious Gary – Mikey North – smashes up a cabinet in his furniture shop with a metal poker and – later – he corners Ryan in an alleyway behind the hotel and demands his cash.
A terrified Ryan admits he lied to Robert to get out of working at the Bistro, but tells Gary the DJ gig is an unpaid job – he has no money.
Gary’s anger reaches boiling point and he starts attacking Ryan.
With his face battered, Ryan tells Gary that he can only get £200 and begs for him to accept that for now.
Ryan then staggers into the Rovers, claiming he was mugged, with Gary propping him up.
Outside, Gary makes it clear to Derek that he’ll be heading for the same treatment if he doesn’t keep away from Izzy and Jake.
Has Gary crossed a line he can never come back from?
It was revealed back in July that Gary would turn on Ryan just months after killing loan shark Rick Neelan.
In photos taken on location Gary and Ryan looked like they were having a tense confrontation in a side alley, before it becomes physical and Gary knocks him over.
