The 50-year-old worked as a musician and actor, and set up a small business selling merchandise to his mother’s fans.

Diana Dors: The Legacy Facebook page wrote a tribute to Jason, confirming his death.

They said: “It saddens me to inform you of the passing of Diana’s youngest son, Jason Dors-Lake at the age of 50.

“Please join me in offering condolences, thoughts and prayers to Jason’s loved ones and close friends at this time.

“Shine bright Jason, shine bright. R. I. P.”

They also requested privacy for his friends and family, for who his death came as a “great shock”.

Jason had previously been open about his battles with alcoholism and revealed that he struggled to cope after witnessing the Grenfell Tower tragedy.

He moved from Broadstairs, Kent to a £1million house in Notting Hill in the years before his death.

He was 14 when his mother — once billed as a British version of Marilyn Monroe — died aged 52 from ovarian cancer.

She had scandalised the nation in the 1950s by hosting sex parties and her turbulent private life fuelled her “blonde bombshell” image.

Five months after she died Mr Dors-Lake’s father, actor Alan Lake, killed himself with a shotgun in his son’s room at their Berkshire mansion.

In a book about his childhood, Connecting Dors: The Legacy of Diana Dors, he revealed that he turned to drink and drugs before trying to turn his life around.

He and daughter Ruby Lake opened a blue plaque honouring his mother in her birthplace of Swindon in January 2017.

Police said his death was not believed to be suspicious but was being treated as unexplained[/caption]
