A CHEEKY builder spelled out his footie team’s initials on a client’s drive – after finding a rival club’s flag draped on his digger one morning.

AFC Bournemouth-obsessed Anthony Crouch, 55, spelled out ‘AFCB’ in his pal’s driveway after spotting a Southampton flag on his equipment.

He spelled out AFCB on the client’s drive as light-hearted revenge

Anthony – who runs landscaping firm Priory Paving with his brother Andy – decided to change the design after being taunted about the flag on Facebook.

He told The Sun Online: “I don’t normally do jobs outside of Bournemouth, but he’s a mate and a good bloke so I agreed to do it as a favour.

“So I went up to Marchwood and got stuck in – but the other day I came back to the site and found a massive Southampton flag on my digger.

“He started boasting on Facebook about how easy it was to turn me into a Southampton fan!

“I’ve had a Bournemouth season ticket for 35 years, so I can’t let people go around saying that.

“A day later I found a Southampton Santa in the driver’s seat – and he started boasting about converting Andy as well!

“We got our revenge and spelled out AFCB in massive letters on his drive. He’ll struggle to top that!”

To Anthony’s shock, the Saints-mad client liked the lettering so much, he asked him to change it to SFC.

He added: “This client is a friend so obviously it was done in good spirits. I would never have left it like that.

“I pride myself on always doing the job properly and making sure our clients are taken care of, so first thing tomorrow I’m going in and changing it to SFC.

“He was pleasantly surprised at how good the driveway looked, he’s actually really excited to get SFC in there. He even cleared it with the wife!”

He vowed to replace it with ‘SFC’ tomorrow morning
