STRICTLY Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard and Saffron Barker have been spotted leaving rehearsals for lunch as fans predict the pair are headed for a romance.
The dancing partners were spotted in high spirits as they walked from rehearsals in London’s West End for a meal at Nando’s.
YouTube star Saffron, 19, wore a white hoodie, black shorts and Nike leggings as she chatted with her dancing partner. She also wore Gucci sliders with socks due to blisters from their heavy training routine.
Meanwhile, AJ, 24 – who is the brother to Love Island star Curtis Pritchard – wore black jeans and a Prince printed T-shirt with the cover of his fourth album, Purple Rain.
This comes as fan already predict a romance between the two, despite AJ being in a relationship with girlfriend Abbie Quinnen.
When the pairing was announced at Strictly’s launch last Saturday on BBC One, Saffron sprinted across the floor and gave AJ a hug.
She said: “I’m so happy.”
Head judge Shirley Ballas remarked that the pairing “already had a little chemistry, so that’s great.”
Fans were quick to suggest they would be in a relationship – whether that would be real or just for the show.
One person wrote: “So chemistry has been already mentioned aj and saffron r obviously this years hookups.”

A second added: “‘Saffron and AJ they already had a bit of chemistry…’ Yup, they’re defo pitching 4 months of highly dubious ‘but are they a couple!?’ publicity #Strictly.”
Another tweeted: “pretty sure that saffron and aj are gonna fake a romance just so they get to be like joe and dianne #Strictly.”
The pair seem to have hit off already, with AJ and Saffron getting cosy at a viewing party at the internet star’s family home.
In videos posted to social media, they were seen showing off in front of their friends.
AJ is keen to make the final this time after reaching the semi-finals three times.
He said on The One Show: “I’ve been in the semi final three years in a row. As they say fourth year’s a charm. Straight to the final.
“I’ve got so many show ideas but it’s never happened for me just yet.”
His previous partners were Olympic gymnast Claudia Fragapane in 2016, The Saturdays’ Mollie King in 2017 and Paralympian Lauren Steadman last year.
