BRITAIN has given its verdict on the greatest either/or questions of our time… and declared we like salt more than pepper, chips more than mash and Dec more than Ant.
Wills and Kate are much more popular than Harry and Meghan, apples are better than oranges, and fish and chips beats pizza hands down in a survey.

Ketchup beats brown sauce, crisps are nicer than nachos, and Strictly Come Dancing is better than X Factor are other verdicts that came in on a poll of more than 2,000 adults commissioned by brewing and pub company Greene King.
Coronation Street is better than EastEnders, people prefer Coffee to Tea (which is surprising as tea is so British), pop music beats classical and savoury tops sweet.
We could sit down and debate all day long – summer holidays beat Christmas, rugby knocks cricket out of the park, dogs over cats (hmmm) Boris over Jeremy… now there’s a debate!
Official Community Club Partner of England Rugby, Greene King IPA, conducted the poll to kick-off the tournament and encourage debate in their pubs… with a pint of IPA in hand!

Over a fifth (22%) of Brits say the ultimate place to watch the rugby is at the pub, with a third (30%) citing Jonny Wilkinson as the best kicker of all time.
Former England Rugby Union International, Andy Goode, says “Friendly banter and debate has a place in everyone’s friendships groups, and rugby really brings people together more than any other sport.
Whether that’s down your local, or at the stadium itself, it’s all about the atmosphere and the thrill of the game!”

Will Hemmings, Marketing Director, Greene King Brewing & Brands says: “There’s nothing British people like more than a friendly dispute and what better place to conduct it than with mates down the pub… especially over silly little things like these.
“But one thing they’ll all agree on is that you can’t beat a good pint of beer at the local.”
