COMEDIAN Rose Matafeo has been working the comedy circuits for years now.

And now as well as hitting it big in Blighty, she has now made her debut in the States. Here’s what we know about the funnywoman…

Who is comedian Rose Matafeo?

Rose Matafeo is a New Zealand comedian and actress.

The star had an early start in comedy – having first started stand-up at the tender age of 15.

She started through New Zealand Comedy Trust’s Class Comedians programme.

And went on to win the Nailed It On The Night award at the New Zealand International Comedy Festival in 2007.

After her first taste in stand up, her career has gone from strength to strength and she went on to win the best newcomer award at the 2010 New Zealand International Comedy Festival.

Rose has won the prestigious Billy T Award and has performed at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe – where she won the main prize at the Edinburgh Comedy Awards in 2018 for her show Horndog.

Alongside her stand-up career, she is also a TV presenter – having hosted U Live on the TVNZ U channel – and an actress – playing the role of Talia in ABC comedy Squinters among other things.

Where is Rose Matafeo from?

Rose is from Auckland New Zealand.

The Kiwi funnywoman was born on February 25, 1992 in Auckland and attended Auckland Girls’s Grammar School – where she was head girl.

Her father is Samoan while her mother is of Scottish and Croatian descent.

Rose has two brothers.

Who is Rose Matafeo dating?

It’s not currently known who Rose is dating.

However she used to date English comedian James Acaster.

As well as New Zealand comedian Guy Williams.

She currently lives in London part-time.
