STRICTLY Come Dancing spin-off It Take Two is set to move to BBC One for two weeks when the latest instalment of the ballroom stalwart kicks-off later this month.

Announcing the news on Strictly’s official Twitter, the post read: “NEWS: It Takes Two comes to @BBCOne at 5.15pm for two weeks on the 23rd September with @ZoeTheBall and @Rylan!

“Before returning to its home on @BBCTwo 6.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6pm Fridays.”

Late last month, it was revealed that former reality star Rylan Clark-Neal will join Strictly’s It Takes Two in a hosting capacity.

The Essex boy was thought to be co-hosting alongside TV pro Zoe Ball, 48 – but he has announced he has two shows all to himself.

The pair will be splitting the weekday shows between them, both doing two separate days and co-hosting together on Fridays.

Appearing on This Morning last month, when questioned about his role on the spin-off show, he said: “Me and Zoe are sort of sharing duties, she’s doing the Breakfast Show on Radio 2.

“She just wanted to take a step back. It’s a lot of work doing early mornings and nights as well.”

He added: “I might as well just say it – I’m going to be doing Mondays and Tuesdays, Zoe’s doing Wednesdays and Thursdays, and we’re both doing Friday, which is amazing. It starts in two and a half weeks.”

The 30-year-old continued: “It’s crazy. We did the launch show on Monday, the red carpet.

“The couples get paired up today… Obviously you’ll see it next Saturday. It’s amazing. You know what it’s like, it’s a machine, that show. It’s glitter – proper glitter!”

He told The This Morning presenters: “I’m very lucky.”

Of his latest TV role he said: “I’m extremely honoured to be joining such a television institution and can’t wait to bring a lot of mischief to the Strictly bubble.

“I’m looking forward to getting started and seeing you all soon.”

The former X Factor star has already made waves on the red carpet at the launch and impressed viewers with his sharp wit.

Veteran presenter Zoe, who has hosted the show for eight years on her own, said: “I adore Rylan, he’s an absolute wonder. I love his daftness and naughtiness and he’s a brilliant live telly host.

“He’ll fit right into our It Takes Two family. Can’t wait for this new season to start, it’s going to be a hoot!”

Strictly Come Dancing is returning for its 17th series on BBC One this September on Saturday, September 7, 2019, hosted by Tess Daly and former It Takes Two presenter Claudia Winkleman.
