COPS are investigating a potentially illegal burial at a graveyard in Essex.
The mysterious probe was launched after forensic officers descended on the cemetery in Saffron Walden at around 3pm yesterday.

A police cordon is currently in place but relatives can still visit the graves of their loved ones.
An Essex Police spokesperson said: “We are investigating following reports of a potential illegal burial in Saffron Walden.

“Officers remain on scene at a graveyard in Radwinter Road as our enquiries continue.”
Baffled locals claim officers are taking fingerprint samples from gravestones within the cemetery.
The graveyard houses over 1,000 plots, with a large section dedicated to those lives lost in World War One.
It is looked after by Saffron Walden Town Council, who said: “I can confirm that yesterday afternoon, the Town Council called the police following concerns of a potential illegal burial in the cemetery.
“This is now a police matter and it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
