AN INCREDIBLE superyacht has been designed with all of its walls made of glass in an attempt to create a luxury apartment in the form of a ship – and it’s yours for only £50 million.
Dutch firm, Vripack have put forward plans for a sprawling yacht with a floor-to-ceiling glass exterior in an attempt to echo the feel of high end homes in Dubai or Hong Kong on the high seas.

The design has uses for much of its structure rather than traditional materials, including a see through balustrade that runs round the ship.
The superyacht concept was developed for the German yacht builder Nobiskrug.

They claim the yacht is created for a “Middle Eastern or Asian owner” because it is designed to feel like a modern city apartment, rather than a traditional yacht.
Glass walls run along the entire length of the 56 metre concept ship, which is valued at “one million Euros per metre.”
The open-plan yacht is designed in a “pancake style” building – tall and thin as opposed to a longer and winder ship.
With a top speed of 14 knots, a spokesman for Netherlands-based Vripack said: “When an owner first sets foot on board, they are welcomed by a dramatic, mesh canopy overhead and large glass doors that invite the outdoors in.
“All the side walls of the superstructure are made of glass, there is no metal at all. The design is not constrained by any traditional yachting design rules.
“The hull of this concept is steel with an aluminium superstructure. “So the yacht isn’t entirely made of glass, which is technically not possible.

“But, the amount of glass in this design and the way in which it forms part of the construction is new and innovative onboard of a yacht like this.
“Created with a young Middle Eastern or Asian owner in mind, the styling is thoroughly unconventional.
“Defined by a classic sheer line, a large over-hanging bow, and a contemporary interior, the 56m concept is more akin to the freeflowing layout of a high-end residence found in Hong Kong or Dubai than a typical yacht.”
