DARCY Oake will compete in Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions for a chance to be crowned the ultimate champion.
The illusionist wowed judges on the American version, now he is hoping to impress the Brits with his mesmerising skills. Here is everything you need to know about him.
Who is Darcy Oake?
Darcy Oake interest in magic was sparked at the tender age of seven when his father, award-winning sports broadcast Scott Oake, got him in on a card trick.
As he moved into his teens, Darcy became the youngest person in history to win the Pacific Rim Professional Stage Challenge at the age of 16.
The accolade was followed shortly by the coveted People’s Choice Gold Medal Award, however, Darcy set his sights on The Magic Castle in Hollywood.
At the age of 18- before he was legally allowed to – he headlined the famous nightclub for magicians, which also houses the Academy of Magical Arts.
The Winnipeg born native headlined his first national tour of Canada two years later, performing 77 shows in more than 25 cities.
His stint in Canada led to venues around the world from Las Vegas to New York, Europe and Asia.
When was Darcy Oake on Britain’s Got Talent?
In 2014 he appeared on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, impressing the judges and the audience with his electrifying magic.
Then, in 2016 he made a guest appearance on America’s Got Talent and performed for the Royal Family at a private dinner for Queen Elizabeth’s 90th birthday.
Two years later Darcy headlined 10 shows at the world famous Calgary Stampede Canada, performing in front of more than 20,000 people per night.

The magician appeared on America’s Got Talent: The Champion and wowed the judges as he made Heidi Klum float mid-air.
Simon Cowell and Mel B gave him a standing ovation, however, he failed to make it through to the next round.
Viewers chose to send through opera singer Paul Potts instead of him.
Who is Darcy Oake’s girlfriend?
While participating in BGT in 2014, the star revealed his girlfriend as the girl he made from all the birds in his audition.
However, he did not disclose her name and shares very few details about his personal life on social media.
But on his Instagram account there is a photo of him and his girlfriend, who uses the handle @lmitchhh.

When is Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions on TV?
The BGT spin-off started on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 8pm, on ITV.
The series will run for six weeks, with the show likely to end on October 5, 2019.
Contestants and judges filmed the final at Wembley Arena at the end of July and accidentally revealed the winner.
The act who won the contest showed off their trophy outside the arena after the grand finale was shot.
