Asan – who threatened to stab ex-EastEnders and Hollyoaks favourite Jamie Lomas – has been called into the studios for crisis talks with bosses.
And he knows he could be sacked.
He was spoken to by senior executives on the phone on Tuesday and will appear in person before top brass at the studios in Leeds this week.
Last night a source close to the soap star revealed: “Asan is beside himself with worry. To quote him he’s in “absolute bits”.
“He knows that his career in Emmerdale could be over. He’s someone at the centre of a knife crime storyline who has threatened to stab a fellow actor.
“It doesn’t get more serious than that. He will get down on his hands and knees and plead for another chance.”
Our insider continued: “He says he’ll do anything to avoid the sack – go into schools and the community to get anti-knife crime campaigns across to kids. He just wants a second chance and to be forgiven for his foolishness.”

Asan, 25, was caught on camera throwing punches at Jamie in front of shocked celebrities at The TV Choice Awards on Monday night.
The young actor, whose character Ellis Chapman has been involved in the knife attack storyline, bellowed at 44-year-old Jamie: “Do you think you are a f*****g big man? I’m going to f*****g kill you. I’m going to f*****g knife you.”
The pair were pulled apart by security twice while I’m A Celebrity star Malique Thompson-Dwyer tried to take his friend Jamie away from the row.
The Emmerdale star fled the awards with his friend 15 minutes after security intervened.
Viewers of the ITV soap have now demanded Asan be sacked from the show for his ‘disgusting’ behaviour.
One fan tweeted: “Emmerdale hope you have immediately sacked Asan N’Jie!!! It is not ok to threaten to knife someone. Absolutely disgusting behaviour.”
“Asan N’Jie threatened to kill a man with a knife while representing @emmerdale that’s absolutely disgusting,” said another.
A third made a plea to bosses: “ITV you need to sack Asan N’jie. ‘I’ll knife you’? In this current climate of knife crime? Absolute disgrace.”
