PRESIDENT Donald Trump has set tongues wagging in Washington after tweeting a meme showing a campaign sign emblazoned with a ‘Trump 2024’ slogan.
The sign is decorated in his campaign’s usual white and red colours and has ‘Keep America Great!’ written beneath the word TRUMP.

The tweet, which did not include a message or any text, is the third time in two days that Trump has hinted he may want to extend his presidency beyond two terms.
However, Presidents are currently limited to just two elected terms by the 22nd Amendment, which was ratified in the 1950s.
Under the law, they are allowed to serve, at most, two years of another president’s term for a total of 10 years.
Speaking to reporters Monday alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino, Trump joked he would have to extend his term until the World Cup is played in the US in 2026.
“Gianni, we’re going to have to extend my second term because 2026 – I’m going to have to extend it for a couple of years,” he said.
“I don’t think any of you would have a problem with that,” he said, referring to the White House press corps.
During a campaign rally in North Carolina on Monday, Trump said, “We may have to go for an extra term,” after mentioning the 2026 soccer contest.
He then addressed the media, adding, “I’m only kidding.”

In his tweet Tuesday night, it was not clear if Trump was suggesting that he would run in 2024 if he did not win re-election in 2020.
It came as he posted other messages taking credit for the Republican Party’s winning two elections in North Carolina.
BIG NIGHT FOR THE REPUBLICAN PARTY,” he tweeted in all-caps. “CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL!”
