TRAGIC Alesha MacPhail’s mum has warned the depraved teen who raped and murdered the six-year-old will kill again.

Aaron Campbell, 17, yesterday had his sentence slashed from 27 years to 24 years for the gruesome killing – meaning he could be freed when he turns 40.

Alesha’s mum Georgina Lochrane has now issued a chilling warning – saying the teenager is a “danger to children and is always going to be”.

She told the Daily Record: “He’s the worst of the worst and they’ve caught him on his first kill.

“We could be sitting here with ten children dead if they hadn’t caught him – and I don’t think he would have stopped until he was caught.”

Campbell’s lawyers successfully argued his original sentence for killing Alesha last summer on the Isle of Bute was “excessive”.

Top judges have now ruled that the minimum term the killer will serve before being considered for parole will be reduced to 24 years.

The decision came despite disturbing new details emerging – including Campbell telling a forensic psychologist that he continued to fantasise about paedophilia and necrophilia.

Dr Macpherson said: “He reported that he continued to experience thoughts of killing and having sex with children and having sex with dead bodies.

“He wished to point out that he was not fantasising about this, but ‘acting on his thoughts’.

“In the deceased’s home, ‘once I realised she was a child, I started having thoughts about raping her, about killing her.’

“He said ‘Four questions – murder, rape, necrophilia and paedophilia. All I thought about was killing her once I saw her.’

“He appeared irritated by the medical evidence that the child was alive at the time of the sexual assault as this would not have fulfilled his desire for necrophilia.”

Twisted Campbell was found guilty in February of murdering little Alesha after snatching her from her bed in July last year on the Isle of Bute.

The teen even callously tried pinning the brutal murder on Toni McLachlan – the girlfriend of Alesha’s dad Robert.

Alesha had been staying with her dad and grandparents when she feel asleep watching a Peppa Pig DVD.

Fiend Campbell – drunk from a house party – stole a knife from his mum’s kitchen and swiped Alesha from her bed.

Once at the site of a former hotel, the twisted killer removed the girl’s clothes and shook her “violently” as he covered her nose, mouth and neck with his hands.

Alesha suffered 117 injuries on her little body and died from “forceful pressure to her neck and face”.

Horrifically, she suffered “catastrophic” sexual injuries both before and after her death.

Her mutilated body was found in woods on the Isle of Bute hours later after her devastated family woke up to find she was missing.

Sentencing, Judge Lord Williams told Campbell: “You committed some of the wickedest most evil crimes this court has ever seen.”

Georgina has now accused the monster of “playing the system” as she vowed to fight for justice for her tragic daughter.

The mum added: “He had someone to stand up and say he’s too young for this sentence.

“Who was there to stand up for Alesha and say she was too young to die? She didn’t have anyone to back her corner but he does.

“She’s had all her human rights taken away. She didn’t ask to be abducted, raped and murdered. He made that choice for her.

“When a parole bid comes I will be Alesha’s voice and stand up for her and fight all the way.”
